Gratitude

I am guessing the great Bloggosphere is filled with Thanksgiving lists of gratitude... and mine won't be any different...

I am one lucky guy, most of all because of the people that surround me, friends and family alike, especially a five year old named Ava. I am so grateful I have taken the time to get to really know her, because by doing so, I have gotten to know myself.

And I am so grateful for the people at Beachbody who maintain a culture of creativity, productivity, and fun. Everyone who walks into the place seems to say how impressed they are with the spirit and energy of the office.

I am grateful that the company we created, and the products that we distribute, have attracted the type of customers we call "the MyBeachbody Community". Honestly, it would not be fun to go to work if we didn't get to share in the smiles and successes of our customers. The community is where we get to hear what our work does for people - the important stuff. Sure there's the little issues of the business model we need to iron out. But when you hear about adults getting off diabetes and cholesterol medications, young women conquering eating disorders, kids crawling out of obesity, all with programs we distribute, it makes you swell up with pride. It gives me the perspective of what these programs mean, and reinforces our discipline to stay on task.

And for all of that I am grateful and more excited than ever for what is ahead of us.

Thanks to everyone of you!

No Carl, Thank you!

What an awesome post. You are such a cool cat. :)

Since being around the beachbody peeps the idea of Thanksgiving has changed. It used to be a day to get together with family (a lot of whom you can hardly deal with) and drink, eat, drink, eat, and then drink some more. :) I'm talking about coffee! What were you thinking I was drinking? :) Yesterday I sat with family and friends whom I love and love to be with, I was thankful for all the smiles I saw in the room, thankful for the fact that those who don't normally get along did get along. Whew! But mostly I noticed the eating and drinking. Not a single person in the group drank to excess. That was awesome. I hate being around people who are drunk. And then I looked down at my plate, saw the small portion of mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey and green beans. Opted out on the roll even. One glass of wine with dinner and then for dessert a small slice of pumkin cheese cake. YUMMM.

I was satisfied and not miserable. :) For that I am extremely thankful!

Thank you Carl, thank you Beachbody, you helped turn my life around.

Dang, I read about the pumpkin cheesecake and now I'm sad that Canadian Thanksgiving was a month ago!

Carl - isn't it great to be in an industry in which the products you sell are actually helping people live better/healthier lives? I'm in the same boat and, while I don't get to deal with the end consumer, it's so rewarding to know that you're making a difference in people's health.

Keep doing what you do & helping Beachbody to be a better company. I'm rooting for you!

HI Carl, Thanks for all you have done for us. Hope Thanksgiving was great for you and your family. Ava is just so beautiful and happy! You must be very proud of your babies, Ava and BB. Thank everyone in the office or that works for BB. You are all wonderful in helping us. Happy December!
